Condities voor een grotere rol van energiecooperaties in hernieuwbare elektriciteitsopwekking

Nederland heeft inmiddels ongeveer 150 energiecooperaties, waaronder 15 ervaren windcooperaties die al een jaar of 25 bestaan. Voor het overige deel gaat het om cooperaties die pas enkele jaren bestaan, maximaal 8 jaar, en die zich nu nog vooral richten op dienstverlenende activiteiten, zoals collectieve inkoopacties van zonnepanelen, wijkacties rond energiebesparing en het doorleveren van hernieuwbare energie. Steeds meer cooperaties gaan zich nu ook richten op het realiseren van grotere collectieve zon- en windprojecten, maar vooralsnog is hun aandeel in de nationale hernieuwbare elektriciteitsproductie beperkt. Dit artikel brengt in kaart in hoeverre aan de condities wordt voldaan om dit aandeel in de nabije toekomst te laten toenemen. Alles overziend kan de voorzichtige conclusie zijn dat de condities voor energiecooperaties gunstig genoeg zijn om op termijn een groter aandeel in de hernieuwbare elektriciteitsopwekking te krijgen dan nu het geval is
