Experimenteren met klaslokaalexperimenten

Door de groeiende empirische literatuur die de meerwaarde van klaslokaalexperimenten in het economieonderwijs bevestigt, zijn ze een verplicht onderdeel geworden van het schoolexamen economie op havo en vwo. Maar de bewezen effectiviteit van klaslokaalexperimenten kan niet zonder meer van toepassing worden verklaard op de lespraktijk in het voortgezet onderwijs, want dat bewijs is bijna uitsluitend gestoeld op ervaringen met studenten in het tertiair onderwijs. In deze bijdrage worden vijf redenen besproken waarom studenten in het tertiair onderwijs significant verschillen van leerlingen in het voortgezet onderwijs, en worden (ook) docenten aangemoedigd om ter zake nader onderzoek te verrichten.
